Job Description: |
Works with engineers to execute test cases and scenarios designed by the engineering team. Will setup NAS/SAN, configure both client and host, execute the test procedures and analyze results. Will also assist in reproducing customer specific failure scenarios to include validating either workarounds or fixes. Assist engineers and managers, as required, in the troubleshooting of features within the lab environment.
Essential Duties
- document problems and assist in bug tracking process
- Create test cases & reports
- Configure client and host systems as required for test scenarios
- interact with other test team members
- Assist group engineers and managers as required
- Work with engineers to develop complete and adequate test requirements
Required Skills
- Client/Server test environment experience
- Storage technology knowledge
- Multiple environment experience:UNIX,(HP-UX, Soaris, IBM-AIX), Linux, Windows
Nice to have
- Windows system admin skills
- Installation, configuration and test of SAN/NAS
- Clustering/File systems experience
- understanding of switch architecture
- Remote replication experience
- Storage file applications such as NAS (NFS & CIFS)
- Back-up applications (Legato and Veritas)
- data migration tools and/or techniques
- Script language development, particularly, Perl or Python
Minimum education: BSCS
Minimum experience: 3yrs
Good analytic and problem solving skills are essential to this test position. Strong written and verbal communications are also essential in this team environment.
